Our mission
Our mission is to help young people access clearer pathways into employment, training, experience and opportunity.
We believe access to opportunities should not depend on who you know, where you live, or whether you happen to hear about the right opportunity at the right time.
The challenge
Young people often struggle to find suitable opportunities because jobs, apprenticeships, volunteering roles, work experience placements and training opportunities are spread across multiple websites, organisations and local networks.
- Entry-level roles can be hard to find on mainstream job boards.
- Many opportunities are still shared through local networks and word of mouth.
- Students may not know which pathways are available.
- Schools and employers may lack a simple way to connect.
What we hope to build
MOTIVATE Futures is exploring a trusted platform, designed specifically for young people, where opportunities, experience and career pathways can be discovered in one place.
- Jobs and summer employment
- Apprenticeships and traineeships
- Work experience and volunteering
- Mentoring and career guidance
- Employer introductions and career pathways
Who benefits
MOTIVATE Futures is being shaped around the needs of young people, schools, employers and the wider community.
Young People
Access opportunities, gain experience, build confidence and explore future career pathways.
Schools
Strengthen employer engagement and help students prepare for life after education.
Employers
Connect with motivated young people and promote opportunities within local communities.
Opportunities we are exploring
The goal is broader than a job board. We are exploring an education-to-opportunity platform for employment, experience and development.
